How to set up your mobile Android phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot.

 When you have a mobile data connection on your mobile and there is no Wi-Fi available nearby and you want to share it with your friends or family you can follow the following procedure. You can also connect a computer via your phone’s usb cable and connect without wireless.

How to turn it on.

1.    On your Android device, go to Settings -> More -> Tethering & portable hotspot.

2.    Click on "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot" and enable it

3.    Click on "Configure Wi-Fi hotspot" in order to set up a network name and security key for secure access and to prevent unauthorized access

4.    Then using a computer or any device with Wi-Fi you can search for the Network using the name provided, input the security key and connect.

How to connect your phone with a computer with a cable

1.    Connect your computer with your mobile device with the supplied usb cable.

2.    On your mobile, go to Settings -> More -> Tethering & portable hotspot.

3.    Click on "USB tethering" to enable it.

4.    On your computer a popup should appear and say that it has found a new connection, after about 1 minute it should automatically connect once you click on it.
